Is self improvement an illusion?

I am currently on a campaign for self-improvement. A lot of aspects are involved. One aspect is improving my financial picture. I have over $10k in savings. I have about $2k in my 401k. I have no IRAs, and I currently make $12.50/hour at my job, with a promise of a raise once I receive my bachelor’s degree in engineering. I am 23 years old.
I am currently on a campaign for self-improvement. A lot of aspects are involved. One aspect is improving my financial picture. I have over $10k in savings. I have about $2k in my 401k. I am wanting to do anything I can now to build a healthier financial picture in order to assist in other aspects of my life, now and in the future. I can provide more details if need be. Any suggestions?
